Birmingham Bowel Clinic coffee morning a great sucess
A delightful coffee morning was had by all and superbly organised thanks to Mandy Smart Colorectal Nurse Specialist.
It was well attended and very informative with lots of information from different experts.
Jodie Jackson representing Convatec had a stand with all the latest products and literature and Delia Downes, Convatecs liason Colorectal nurse was on hand to offer support and advice.
The dietician, Stephen McGlen gave a very informative talk for both Stoma and internal pouch patients, about Diet and the bowel - Trial and error.
The ladies of the group were able to enjoy a manicure or pedicure by Laura - who kindly volunteered her services for the morning.
Mandy's mum, Marilyn organised a Tombola with some lovely prizes which raised £208 for Charity.
The money raised from the morning is to be split between two charities - Ostomy lifestyle and Bowel Disease Research Fund.
Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the morning, and once again , a big "Thank You" to Mandy for the support that she gives most generously.
