Very soon after being diagnosed with bowel cancer I was introduced to the Birmingham Bowel Clinic and Mr Tariq Ismail.
I was obviously very worried and apprehensive to know I had cancer but on meeting Mr Ismail I was very soon looking at the positives. He reassured me explaining the treatment I needed and what he anticipated the outcome would be.

Within two weeks I was in the Priory Hospital for my operation, I was out of bed eating within 6 hours of the operation and left hospital after 4 days.
I had little or no pain and my family could not believe how quickly I recovered.

The medical staff at the Priory Hospital were superb and the post operative care I received from Mr Ismail has been excellent. I would recommend anyone with bowel cancer to Mr Ismail for his care and expertise.
