GP education meetings confirmed for 2012
The Birmingham Bowel Clinic offers an education programme for West Midlands based GPs and Healthcare professionals.
As part of our GP education programme, the following GP talks are confirmed so far for 2012:
Monday 27th February 2012:
Hagley Surgery, Hagley, Worcestershire.
Mr Simon Radley- "What's new in Colorectal Surgery?" Talk to include an update on minimally invasive surgical techniques for the following:
• the management of haemorrhoids (HALO procedure)
• enhanced recovery and laparoscopic surgery
• anal incontinence- neuromodulation
As part of your continual professional development we would be happy to come to your practice to discuss the management of bowel conditions and present on a variety of general surgical and colorectal topics, in particular:
• Update on treating Haemorrhoids- in particular the HALO Procedure
• Laparoscopic surgery for Colorectal disease- benign or malignant
• Investigation of rectal bleeding and anaemia
• Dealing with a patient with anal incontinence
• Imaging a patient with suspected colorectal carcinoma (delivered by Dr Ian McCafferty- Consultant Radiologist)
• Management of Colorectal Cancer (delivered by Dr Ian Geh- Consultant Oncologist)
