As a practicing doctor presenting with symptoms that required major bowel surgery, I had no doubt in my mind which team of surgeons I had to consult.
Under the care of Mr S Radley, the investigations were prompt and surgery planned for a date that suited me. Although my hospital discharge was delayed by a few days due to the usual minor hiccups the attention I received from the whole team was excellent. The laparoscopic sub-total colectomy left me with a hardly visible 5 cm scar with a speedy recovery.
I was meant to be off work for at least 12 weeks but to my pleasant surprise on the 7th post operative week I felt so well that I decided to return back to full time. Words simply cannot describe the immense gratitude and respect I have for the skills and professionalism of the team.
